Overwhelming kindness, hope for the future at Falmouth Peace Vigil(photo)
Since before the beginning of the illegal and
immoral War on Iraq, the Falmouth Peace Vigilers
have gathered in front of the Falmouth Post Office
in an attempt to awaken sleepy Americans from
their blind trance of revenge for the horrendous
acts of September 11, 2001. They were on to this
mis-administration plans to fuel with money
Cheney and Bushy's buddies who own the war machine,
and tried to let us know.

I was fortunate enough to have met these wise
souls about 2 1/2 months ago, trying to join
them whenever work allows.

Before headed to Crawford last weekend, I did
tell a few of these wonderful folks about my
intended journey. When I joined them today
bringing my photo album full of amazing stories
they surprised me with a gallon milk jug filled
with $bills and change to help offset the cost
of the trip. I started tearing up and got
goose bumps for the 1000th time in the last week.

Yeah, I'm broke- It's tough living on Cape Cod. Yeah
I'm spending my own $ to do this protesting. But I think of
the money I'm spending as as much of an investment in mine,
and my families future as the paltry amount I can put away in my mutual fund. The money they gave me will not go into my pocket
but it will go into continuing to fund this movement that has been working tirelessly for years, to get toward this moment of unity
and strength for truth and peace.

1. Oh, that's a lovely thing for them to do.

But they appreciate you as so many of us do, Deb. You are one in 200 million.
