3. These are from the wire
Of course, they don't want to show the whole crowd of either group because the difference in attendance would be even more apparent.

2. And I thought it was us exercising American freedom and them opposing it
They are trying to oppose the freedom's given to all of us by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights - protesting a positive with a negative is bad politics.

14. I remember during Viet Nam RWs were PO'ed when "hippies" wore the flag

on/as clothing. It was disrespectful and a desecration, they said.

Decades later doing so is considered patriotic and appropriate? Strange.

7. Cindy has never claimed she speaks for them
But, then, they would have to stop making up things to complain about if they acknowledged that, wouldn't they? :eyes:

8. Jesus...
I count about 10 flags in that picture...

It just reeks of "I'm more patriotic than you!"

Why do they have to try so hard?

10. They need all the flags
to make it look like the tent is full of people.

BTW: There are more flags then people in that tent.

11. I thought that same thing after 9-11
Was the guy who put 4(Chinese made)flags on his vehicle 4 times more patriotic than the guy who only had 1?

18. "Why do they have to try so hard?"
Because they know they need symbols to hide behind because they stand for nothing more than pure, unadulterated HATE!

13. More stiking is the 'decorum' of the supporters.
I guess they think the flag is some kinda talisman to keep the evildoers away. And the balloons and ribbons are a nice touch too. Kinda like a tailgate party before the big game.

21. the difference, I have found, is really quite simple . . .
WE actually and honestly CARE about people other than just ourselves . . . even those different from us . . . even those in foreign lands that the government calls our "enemies" . . .

we also care about the Earth and the miracle of creation (air, water, trees, rocks, flowers, and bears, for example) . . .

THEY don't . . .
