NRO; talking in circles trying to rationalize their odd choices
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/08/26/opinion/main797471.shtml

"How odd that Meyerson, a vice chairman of a national socialist organization, has become a harsh critic of American support for democratic reform in the Middle East." - Victor Davis Hanson.

"I wrote regularly for the National Review Online, not National Review. I never "demanded" that we go into Iraq, but urged that we do so after considering both the pros and cons of that difficult choice. The Hoover Institution is not "Palo Alto's" but affiliated with Stanford University, whose administration must approve senior fellow appointments in a lengthy process that is not done "in short order." I have never on any occasion been "a dinner companion of Bush." Nor have I been an "unswerving defender of administration policies" but criticized many of its stances from immigration and farm subsidies to deficit spending and current policy toward Saudi Arabia." - Victor Davis Hanson.

success may indeed have a thousand fathers, but this conflagration in irag now has no advocate that hasn't already been proven wrong imo; a five page rationale filled with dangerous liaison' is proof enough for me that the excursion of the bush admin is a father-less bastard.

1. but it bought bush time, filled pigmedia with bushit
that really was the main objective...hanson is a phony ie a bushevik, as are most of the *holes who we see on tv or hear on radio etc...they kept the truth out of the news, and thus have allowed bushinc to run the country like a lawnmower in gravel. why? well, they've shown (see cindy sheehan coverage) that they HATE the US beyond loathing; now their objective is to get away with what they've done

2. i find NRO & their various writers of fiction...
to be more than merely 'trying to make their point' here & of late, but pernicious when they attempt to convince all that they in fact occupy the center of the american body politic that is just plain WHACK! when they were so very proud to be seen as otherwise during the sales pitch.

they've had their run manipulating the story-line into the shadows, and it was a good one; but it is over, and they need to understand where it is they have contributed to the greater failure of policy-without-planning predicated upon code words & buzz phrase' to a very narrow base imo

3. and the bills aren't in yet...
i truly hope that the bush banana peel (can you imagine this!) upsets the american people enough that the 'writers of fiction' aren't lost in the postscript..... them bloody cockroaches hiding in hawaii and jo'burg! even with all the wealth the pigs have stolen, one knows they're hyperventilating alot as they watch the news, even slanted as it is :) :)

4. my sense is that the tide is turning...
when this bill comes due we are apt to see a lower level of political personal defamation yet unseen in this bush admin; saying that knowing well-well that he will be gone his handlers will remain & they are as of this post drunk with power & already showing signs of being vitriolic, mean spirited & badger-like when cornered :hi:
