2. Stay safe 4
I bugged out during one of the big ones in FL last year. Did not regret the decision at all. Better safe than sorry. A category 4 is nothing to fool around with.

he a Royal Mounted Canadian Policeman??? I hang with a bunch of Canadian descendants so to speak.... Cajuns... some of them an unruly lot but likeable enough.... see? Acadian... spoken more quickly with a slur so to speak.... translates to "Cajun".

http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~jmeaux/cajun.html
The 700,000 Cajuns who live in South Louisiana are descendants of French Canadians. About
18,000 French-speaking Catholics inhabitants from Brittany, Poitou, Normandy, and across
France established the French colony of Acadia, now Nova Scotia, Canada. The year was
1604 -- sixteen years before the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock, thus establishing one
of the first permanent colonies on the North American continent. By the time the British won
the colony from France in 1713, they had established a thriving, self-sufficient community.

7. Try to leave early, around 5am
I evacuated from one last year, and the highways were OK until around 9-10 am. It was 2mph by noon. Take a good map that shows the back roads; that really helped me a lot.

Good luck!
