Where is Laura Flanders from? I'm trying to place her accent,

Where is Laura Flanders from? I'm trying to place her accent,
it sounds England meets Lawnguyland. I've googled her name and biography but most pages just talk about recent things she's done, not where she was born. Thanks, it's the first time I've heard her show.

Laura Flanders is an American journalist whose writing has appeared in The Nation, In These Times, The Progressive, Ms. Magazine, Tompaine.com, and ZNet. She has also contributed Op-Ed pieces to the San Francisco Chronicle. Flanders has worked in radio for many years and hosts "Your Call" weekdays on KALW and "The Laura Flanders Show" heard weekends 7-10 pm on Air America Radio.

Flanders was founding director of the Women's Desk at the media watch group, Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) and for more than ten years she produced and hosted "CounterSpin", FAIR's nationally-syndicated radio program. She has also written several books: Bushwomen: Tales of a Cynical Species (2004) is a study of the women in President George W. Bush's Cabinet. The W Effect: Sexual Politics in the Age of Bush (2004) is a collection of her essays. Flanders also authored Real Majority, Media Minority; the Cost of Sidelining Women in Reporting (1997).

Flanders' TV appearances include "The O'Reilly Factor," "Hannity and Colmes," and CSPAN's "Washington Journal," as well as the MSNBC program, "Donahue," "Good Morning America" and the Canadian news discussion program, "CounterSpin," on CBC.

BBC TV economics reporter Stephanie Flanders is her sister and muckraker Alexander Cockburn is her uncle.

maybe they're one of those families who go back and forth... passport in one country, school in another...

8. She is American, but I thought I heard her say she went to
school and lived in England while growing up, but don't quote me because I'm not sure.
