Why don't television "news" stations actually show news?

It doesn't matter if you think the "news" stations on television have a left or right slant, I thought people would have realized now that there is no real news on TV.

I'm looking at you, CNN and Fox, you're the worst.

The other part is ownership: the reich wing owns the media. All of it.

If anything comes out they don't like, they buy out whoever's pushing it. c.f. the reich wing takeovers of PBS and the Carlysle Group's buyout of Loews or whatever to keep Fahrenheit 9/11 out of theaters and similar.

I have a news scoop and I want to post it first here on DU, because I think it may get into American news media that way.

I tried to contact all important American news media, but none picked up the story, whereas several European media have.

Sadly, I am not allowed to post in here, because I haven't replied to enough messages yet. Does anyone know how many replies one must have posted in order to be able to post a message on DU?
