Sheehan is right - the war in Iraq is at its end |
|
She has began the end of this insane and imperialistic war. She has woke up Americans everywhere.
Bush thinks the war against evil can be viewed as a military battle that can be won. Wars have existed since Cain and Able, it is human nature. These wars will never end, and people need to wake up and they are.
Sheehan and those of you who have backed her should be proud for bringing America back to reality. My thanks to all of you.

1. I hope and I think you're right, but will hold my breath until it happens. |

I copied a post by berni which explained that we are on the verge of World War III and we are on the wrong side. It will be the world against us if Cheney has his way about nuking Iran, and I can't say that I could blame the rest of the world for reigning in the U.S. if we do that. Scares me to death. You're right, if we can stop that, we all need to get down on our knees and thank God for sending Cindy when he did.

We don't have the troops to clean up the mess. You're right Bush has alienated the rest of the world against us.
Bushbots need to realize, as you have, that we are not the only country in the world to possess nuclear weapons. The rest of the world can do us in quite nicely.

3. I do not mean to sound presumptuous, but support for Bush... |
|
world-wide is very minimal. I assume the US press does not give much coverage to the poll numbers outside the States.
Those who travel or live outside the US can readily affirm the lack of international support.

financially and nuclear wise. Bush's ego is getting in the way of reality.

I live in a small city of 60k. Our newspaper is practically the KKK Daily, but we do have some democrats. No one in town, I'm sure, has any idea of who Sheehan even is. If they do, they got it off of television news and have a skewed idea about what is going on.

She has certainly raised the consciousness of millions of people (on either side of the debate).
I would love to see this war end, and Iraq take care of its own governance (whatever they choose). I am, however, afraid that our current administration is extremely bullheaded and ready to dig its heels in even further, thus leading to more ugliness and divisiveness in our country.
