According to the AFP that's about the same.

everyone agreed that it was paramount to "support the
troops" fighting and dying

B.S. Typical Dimwit mantra regurgitated by the MSM.
The left-wing wants the terrorists to win so they can
pin a 'Vietnam' on Bush. They are traitors...it is too
bad that they are not rounded up and executed as
such...at a minimum, deport them to the Third World
country of their choice.

I wonder if someone thought to hire a plane or
helicopter to overfly the area and take pictures. It
would be nice to have solid photographic evidence to
throw in the other side's faces.

Although given that the President was in the area, I
doubt an overflight would have been allowed even if it
was thought of (maybe we can hope that the USSS has
aerial photos?).

Saw very little of it on FOXNews... and what little I
saw made no mention of numbers. FOX let us down
bigtime.

I mean if you have 3000 hayseeds down there taunting 100 anti-war folk, why WOULDN'T Foxhole News be covering this? This would be better than Levitra for Murdoch, you'd think.

11. 3000 EXPECTED. This 3K is the number the wingers have been pimping
prior to the event. Obviously the actual turnout is considerably less.

20. 3,000 In BushCo Speak = 2 Beers
Edited on Sat Aug-27-05 11:42 PM by K8-EEE
If you ask anybody who's pulled over for drunk driving and obviously been drinking beer, they always say they had 2 beers. Never 1 and never three and never 6. THEY ALWAYS HAD TWO BEERS.

3,000 was the number of "Saddam Loyalists" and "deadenders" for the entire first year of this war. They would show this massive outpouring on the street and it was always "about 3,000." THOSE 3,000 PACK A WALLOP!

Likewise, 3,000 in Crawford sounds impressive....so 3,000 it is...my Waco buddy who went there this morning says BULLSHIT!! On this coverage, the Cindy supporters FAR OUTNUMBERED the BushCo supporters which is why they go around the block to avoid reporting the numbers except combines as in "thousands from both sides come to Crawford..."

SERIOUSLY THIS IS SUCH BULLSHIT!!!

18. your right
IF there were 3,000 protesters (Pro Bush) the AP would have pictures. They don't have a crowd bigger then 100 from what I saw on the yahoo picture slide.

Ap needs to fix their article it's completely misleading freepers. They said they anticipated 3,000 people showing up.

ANTICIPATE:
To feel or realize beforehand; foresee: hadn't anticipated the crowds at the zoo.
To look forward to, especially with pleasure; expect: anticipated a pleasant hike in the country.
To deal with beforehand; act so as to mitigate, nullify, or prevent: anticipated the storm by boarding up the windows. See Synonyms at expect.
To cause to happen in advance; accelerate.
To use in advance, as income not yet available.
To pay (a debt) before it is due.

In plain english: you counted your eggs before they hatched.

25. Maybe this freeper post can answer your question.....
Now this is important! We as Conservatives have come to depend on FoxNews as a source to provide balanced reporting. This is simply no longer the case! We need to stop indiscriminately watching Fox, and recommending Fox, and we need to let Fox's sponsors know that they are losing their audience. The same unbalanced market conditions that enabled the rise of FoxNews are resurfacing!

Recent polling numbers show that the facts of the war are not getting out to the mainstream audience. One hypothesis is that FoxNews' shift is a factor in the negative polling numbers.

There is a void of balanced reporting, and this unfulfilled need will create a very profitable business opportunity for the media organization that sees the opportunity to fill it! We need to help accelerate this process!

17. Two reasons:
1.) There were actually twice as many Sheehan supporters

2.) The Freepers (and many of their signs) were just plain hateful and would have done more damage to Bush than good.

23. Interesting how the poster defined the ratio...
... as "3000 pro bush and 100 anti usa."

Think that pretty well puts it in a nutshell and sends it off to sea.

They don't care about troops. They care about Bush. Anyone disagreeing with Bush is anti-American, because, to them, Bush is America.

Any questions?

I thought not. :)

Bush and his minions know the best outcome would be to have all of this Iraq protest stuff fade away ASAP. The pro-death demonstration was just a pitiful try at intimidation. It didn't work. Just wasted a lot of gas and they looked like sick fucks. Who would demonstrate for more death? Think about it.

Another 12-pack, and I should be fine by Monday!
