11. on another thread here on DU, but still on this same topic, |
|
one poster said that Mary Landrieu came out and said that Louisiana had 3000 National Guard members, BUT they were all in Iraq. There's noone to send, even if Shrub did quit clearing brush, get off his bike, and make some HARD decisions.... :sarcasm:

10. One guy estimates 300,000 dead |
|
I wouldn't take that seriously, but here it is.
Posted By: Orleans77 at 2:21 AM GMT on August 28, 2005. its an awful attitude..some guy on Fox ..former FEMA official jus said that 50% of all that stay in NO would die in a cat 4/5 direct hit on NO...50% of 600,000 = 300,000 dead...this would be our Tsunami

I was born in Louisiana and still have immediate family there. Although they don't live on the coast, we love New Orleans and have many friends and relatives there (and on the Mississippi coast).
New Orleans is a very unique city -- so much history there.
This does look like a really bad hurricane. :scared:
