Let Cindy Sheehan meet the President - Latest RW email making rounds
(read to the end....or if you desire just read the end...)

Let Cindy Sheehan meet the President

I have a very simple solution to the entire Cindy Sheehan affair.

Let her meet with the President.

That's right. I've finally changed my tune.

Let her meet with the President who thwarted the United Nations
Security Council and made the case for war.

Let her meet with the President who hindered the progress of United
Nations weapons inspectors.

Let her meet with the President who lied about Iraq having weapons of
mass destruction that they'd use on Americans.

Let her meet with the President who killed thousands of innocent Iraqi
civilians.

Let her meet with the President who came to office in a rigged
election, and maintained his grip on power through rigged voting and
militaristic patriotism.

Let her meet with the President who turned his country's media into a
mouthpiece for his fascist and discriminatory policies.

Let her meet with the President who transformed his country into a
single-party dictatorship, sowing fear and resentment against any who
dared to oppose his iron-fisted rule.

Let her meet with the President who proved himself a coward by fleeing
when his country was attacked.

Let her meet with the President who should be brought up on war crimes
charges for his dastardly misdeeds.

Let her meet with the President who spent billions of dollars on
weapons while social welfare programs went unfunded and the poor
continue to suffer for it to this day.

Let her meet with the President who has a track record of invading
Arab Muslim countries for oil.

Let her meet with the President who knew full well about the
bloodthirsty torture and murderous horrors at Abu Ghraib.

That's right. Let her meet with Saddam Hussein.

-------- My note
Hell, I thought it WAS * - they sound like brothers...

2. Finally the right-wingers agree
Bush = Saddam :)

All those points about Saddam can describe Bush as well. Not very clever...

12. i thought saddam=osama
Seriously, though, it is funny how we prop up truly evil people until it is no longer expediant to do so. The US knew saddam was evil from the day he took power and killed half of the government. It was okay for him to use WMD's as long as he was using them on Iranians. He has always been evil, but he was our man in Iraq until he got sloppy and invaded Kuwait- thus scaring the Saudis. Then he had to go.

5. Too full of hate to understand the impact of their actions
A lot of Repub's have questions about Dubya's doings and this isn't gonna hep. I think, I finally get the meaning of Ignorance is Bliss, in Their Ignorance will emerge Our Bliss!

God! Their even on our side now, whether they figured it out or not, is irrelevant.

15. I agree.
Their statements, taken as being about Bush, ring absolutely true. They are either brave or stupid for reminding people of the many failings of our awful president.

6. WTF? This is for real, right? It's not a joke -- right?
I have known for a long time that Conservatives are suckers for irony, but to NOT see the ironies in this piece argues for sme kind of new mass amnesia.

Where did you find this gem?

I must still be asleep. This is part of an hallucination related to sleep paralysis. And in a moment, either the aliens will hack off my willie, or the pretty dancing girl will stab me in the heart. That's it. Because it's too strange to be reality. And I know.

At least I think so.

Needless to say, I didn't agree. On edit: Here was my reply:

"Don’t agree. First, I doubt this ever happened and second, we are bombing Iraq and have been for a long time. Third, it’s not only the lapel pin-wearers who bombed Iraq, it was, and is being, done in all of our names. Fourth, one doesn’t need a pin to prove they’re an American, or to show how proud they are of the fact. Fifthly, I’d like to see this “gentleman” in line at the grocery store live as a woman under a burka for a few years, being beaten on the street by complete strangers because “her” ankles show, or publicly executed because some man said “she” looked at him with lust in “her” eyes – with no regard for the children she has at home to care for by herself because her husband was killed for not “going along” with the powers that be – or, being stoned to death for being raped. Let’s see how outspoken he is then. And finally, the women of Iraq were never forced to wear the burka, like they were in Afghanistan, but thanks to our invasion and the new Iraqi constitution which turns Iraq into an Islamic Republic, they may well be wearing them soon. Freedom is on the march."

11. I get those anectdotal chain mails all the time
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 03:23 AM by akarnitz
from a very old friend of mine. I always answer the way you did w/ this one, Miss Chybil. I also sign my replies and include my e-mail adress at the bottom. I reply back to Bubba(my old pal) and ask him to pass it back up the chain. I've gotten no replies yet, so either I'm convincing folks or Bubba's not forwarding. Probably the latter, but, hopefully, the former. :)

13. Love that line
"I'll gladly buy you a ticket and pay your way back" bullshit. I think that 99.9% of this emails are pure BS, and probably written by PR people. They all have that "feel good" feel about them, like a Hallmark card.

14. But, you don't understand
When you work a lot and you can't wait too get home, this is from a friend, who shares your values. I have been there.

I am single, but have a friend who is a single parent of 4. Her oldest son, who is excessively high in math and verbal skills is in the Air force. She is a GOD and I mean trusts him above all else, person. She is not a Holy Roller, she has 4 kids from the same guy and never married him. Just to clarify, she had a boy and a girl, finally after many hours of mine, family members, and others, kicked him out, to find out she was pregnant (with identical twin boys, and couldn't do the abortion planned cause twins are special)

She actually thinks, her son will be protected, and will finish his military career, no prob. I actually wish, I had her faith, but I don't, and I am glad. She was the most humble, hard- working person, I have ever known.

She seems to be so deluded by her son's intrinsic worth to the military that she is not even fearful. It scares the Hell out of me, I haven't talked to her for 6 months, cause when he gets deployed, she will shut down. I can't be there, to pick up her this mistake, there have been too many and over 10 yrs. She has made more mistakes than most, and I have been there for her, but the next time, it is hers.
