Did the Great Conservative God Reagan ever take a month
long vacation on his ranch?

btw...lurking Republicans...he could ride a horse usually without falling off.

Your doofus is "clearing brush" or whatever the hell it is he does while the troops you want "supported" are dying, a massive hurricane is still forming, wildfires are burning, and nobody can afford to fill their cars anymore.

1. I think that Reagan

especially through most of his second term, carried his own little mental vacation around with him.

11. You forget, Reagan was a President...

Junior is just the front man, for the neocons--who are the ones really in charge.

I'm convinced they send him away when they have big-boy work to do.

It's totally absurd that the leader of the free world, could afford to vacation for one solid month. It defies common sense.

I was a lowly public-relations manager before I became a stay-at-home mom. If I took more than a week off, all hell broke loose. I was a no one--my job wasn't important. Junior is the leader of the frickin world--and he can frolic for ONE ENTIRE MONTH????

This is possible, because he's not in charge.

The PNAC scum are calling the shots. They prop Bush up, give him a few soundbytes and suit him up in a Columbia jacket when they need to appease the sheeple. That's his role.

That--and clearing mountains of brush.

12. I think, though, it could be argued that Reagan teetered into figurehead
territory. In fact, his Administration was where the PNAC crop really got harvested, no?

2. Probably took that long to color the hair and inject enough "learnin"
to be able to come off at least 5% in control of the info he was peddling. Nixon - first repug criminal....Reagan - first repug joke....Junior - first repug catastrophe/embarassment in recent times.

13. Reagan
Reagan has more members of his Administration indicted & convicted of crimes than all other presidents of the 20th century combined... and, since his released recently presidential notes reveal Reagan to be much more hands on than previously thought, I think Reagan's criminality puts Nixon to shame.

6. Did he?
Honestly, Skittles, I was busy being a twenty something girl, and didn't pay that much attention to him, until I thought he was sick....

I just can't remember his vacation schedule, although I do remember his ranch photo ops--

7. I'm saying his mind was on vacation
Reagan was extremely "handled" in is later presidential years - he was already losing it by his second term. I couldn't stand him either way.

15. Two of the biggest complaints about Reagan
1. He took too much vacation time.

2. He wasn't really in charge. Was just an actor reading his lines.

10. I read recently that W has taken the same # of vacay days in 1
term that Reagan took in his 2 terms. Clinton and Carter came in with much smaller amounts and I believe Bush1 was somewhere in between the two extremes.

16. he was actually gone about 45% of the time & drugged when here..
they gave him Halcion (Triazolam)and he just slept till they woke him up and gave him the script. if i remember it right, that is what made Poppy sick on the Japanese guy...

i think that Reagan was actually given a lobotomy to shut him up for the Iran Contra hearing.. head of CIA casey had an emergency Brain tumor and had the part of his bran removed that contained his memory.. others were found dead, one in a canoe of no known cause.

Halcion was really big in DC, It is probably what the black guy took that shot all the people on the subway on Christmas about eve.

if you didn't go to sleep you could get delusional and get a baseball bat and go hunt down a little old lady to take it out on..

after the subway incident Halcion seems to have just disappeared, it used to really popular.. i wonder how many Post Office shootings it caused.??

this was the subject of a science fiction movie called 'The Last Days of Man On Earth'.. that didn't get much distribution in the us in the 70's, wonder why
