3. Will he actually take questions?
or will he just preach from the gospel according to the neocons (turn in your bibles to any verse in the book of Cheney--they are all the same!)

6. I think the point is that the WH is really more anxious than they let on-
--to have a press confer. on a Sunday--and to talk of Iraqi constistution. katrina is an open for them to do this.. Fox first said it was the Iraqi constitution, then a few minutes later they said--oh--and also about Katrinia.

On second thought - it is a beautiful sunday morning, I am going to the lake this afternoon, why should I ugly up my day by watching it?

8. There isn't much left to say
Nothing much left to do know except watch as Iraq turns into a Shiite dominated fundamentalist theocracy under the leadership of an Iranian Grand Ayatollah named Ali al Sistani.

Safe to assume Bush will attempt to spin some carefully crafted bullshit designed to disguise the magnitude of this incredible failure.

9. This morning, the radio said, in a cheerful voice,
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 10:21 AM by NYC
the constitution had been drafted, and would go to the people for a vote October 15th. The announcer did not say the constitution had been signed or approved. Was it? Did I miss something?

That was 1010 WINS.

Edit: Email from Truth Out says:

Shi'ites cut off talks on charter:

Iraqi draft fails to win support of all Sunni delegates.

Baghdad - Iraqi Shiite Muslim leaders said early Sunday that they were ending negotiations on the country's constitution after months of increasingly divisive talks and planned to put the draft before the National Assembly later in the day, senior officials involved in the talks said.

Despite some compromises made by Shiites at the urging of the Bush administration, the draft appears not to have won the support of at least some of the negotiators representing Iraq's Sunni Arab minority.

... "None of the demands are met," Mutlak said. "There's no agreement and they will submit it . . . . Things will deteriorate in every aspect. The stability will be less. The violence will be up. The demonstrations on the street will be up."
