Bush Speech Was AUDIO Only? WTF? What could explain that? |
|
Is it available online yet? It was not aired on network or radio here in NY.
What POSSIBLE reason could they give for releasing only an AUDIO statement? Was it pre-taped?
Is he hunkered down in his Waco Compound getting trashed all this weekend? Does he see the writing on the wall?
My prediction:
KATRINA will be Bush's downfall. He won't recover from this. I pray New Orleans can.

turns out to be just an audio?
Jeez, I hope the fraud bastard didn't strain himself with all the effort it must have taken to make the tape. Hard work, that's what this clown is all about, right?

11. Yes, CNN played the audio feed but said it would take 30 minutes or |
|
so for them to get the video feed. Now they have the video but they only played the part about Katrina but Wolf did say Bush hailed the new Iraqi Constitution.
Go for a bike ride, George. :eyes:

12. The audio quality was awful. CNN just interrupted Max Cleland to air video |
|
Bu$h looked like hell. He was breathing very heavily and his face was red and drawn. His hair was a mess. He's not handling any of this well. :( Worst president. Ever.

|
I'm only asking you as a way of bookmarking the thread.
The speech was not on free television, and I don't have cable. I'll go to the CNN website to see if they have video.
I suspected a hangover might have been the reason for the audio only; didn't know the video was coming.

I don't normally watch CNN but Max Cleland was on Leslie Blitzer's Sunday show and I wanted to watch Max kick ass (which he did.) The surprising thing was the first broadcast of audio only. The quality was beyond awful. It sounded like a bad fast food drive-up window radio transmission. They put Shrub in a suit and tie but it didn't help. he looked and sounded worse than I've ever seen him. :(

18. I can't find it at CNN's website. |
|
Maybe it is not up yet.
The BBC link that someone provided turned out to be yesterday's radio address.
Because of your description, I would love to see this video.

20. Calm down. Put the tin foil hat away. It's the traditional president's . |
|
Sunday radio address. It's usually one of the least covered speeches. Every president I can remember has released a "radio address" every Sunday, but almost no one listens to it, unless there is something important going on. I assume that's why it is so hard to get the video.
The video is really incidental to this traditional regular radio speech. I'm even surpised there is any video at all, because there usually is none.

His regular radio address aired yesterday. This was a video release, but CNN aired only the audio at first, so we were all confused. It's weird that they did it like that.

21. I heard it then saw it. |
|
cnn & faux played a recording of it (yes it sounded a bit like Darth), then half an hour later, showed the "live" (?) speech, which was exactly the same as the phonecall speech (screwups & all).
The "live" feed showed his jaw jacking away at the end of nearlt every phrase (my 11 y/o was laughing) and once you could actually hear it CRACK. (Grinding them teeth again, GW?)
Best part : FOX (yes, fox) cut off the video when he started in on Iraq.
