Thanks DU for the great link to Channel 4, New Orleans. This is |
|
great source for news on the hurricane. They are showing religious monkeys now and how they are responding to the Hurricane with their "faith" so I had to turn it down. I am so tired of religion being forced down our throats. But it is a good source for information on the Hurrricane.

2. They're "monkeys" now? |
|
I mean, if they ask someone how they're dealing with the storm, it's "forcing it down" your throat for them to answer that they're counting on God, or Zeus, or whoever else?
:eyes:
Got that link, btw?

when they say they are counting on an invisable cloud being for making it through this storm. After what they are doing to our science in this country I have no sympathy for religious people. It is science who are letting their sorry asses know about this storm before it hits. Sorry, I really hope everyone make it through this but I hope when they get through this they will give science some credit for helping predict this storm.

should go "excuse me, dummy, there is no God BWAHAHHAHAHAHA"?
Uh, no. I don't think that's the time. I'd hope that we are compassionate enough to give people free rein when they're in pain unless their remarks are incendiary.
Many religious people believe in science, and don't have the black and white views that fundies (and apparently you) have.

just tired of the challanges to science. Now would be the perfect time for the religious who are pro science to come out and defend science. That is if there really are any pro science religious people outside the Unitarians-who... well... may not really be religious.

its been great listening to the coverage live from a station in New Orleans. I only hope that they can keep broadcasting when things get really bad later on tonight and tomorrow.

9. The studio is located in the French Quarter... |

I think they said earlier that at some point they would just update the website. Another possibility is to go to Baton Rouge and work with WAFB.

was hardly shoving religion down people's throats. All they did was show a frightened priest after mass today talking about the storm. Shit, I'm a non-practicing Catholic and I've dug out my holy medals. I need all the good vibes I can get from whatever source.

12. Sorry, I am just had enough of all these idiotic challanges to |
|
science. When it is science who is making it possible for this priest and these people to know about this where they can atleast save the lives of their families and leave. Would they know about this back in "biblical" days - no they would have been complete sitting ducks.
