Why does anyone here, (or on any other board) give a damn if Bush
is on vacation or not right now?

Seriously, the man isn't good for anything--let him go play golf..and let the press get some great photos of that...it would be the best thing possible for this country to take a very good look at just how little he gives a damn about anyone.

Lurking conservatives...face it, your boy wonder isn't going to give up his vacation for a damned thing. I bet you anything that if the terrorist attacks had happened on August 11, 2001...he would have claimed DC was "unsafe," and stayed in Crawford.

Please.

1. The problem is he isn't really on vacation -- he is on a propaganda tour
If bush would actually go away that would be great.

His 'vacation' is instead a media assault -- receiving awards here, giving speeches there, making BS pronouncements in the media etc etc etc.

2. You raise a point I was wondering about..........
I don't think he really "does" anything while on "duty" at the White House, so really, what does it matter where the little shit for brains is at any given moment?? He "works" so hard... I don't think so.

3. Because we want him to act like a human being
and for one brief moment we forgot that he is a total and
complete piece of shit.

You are right, let him play.

4. Because Rome is burning, and Nero should not be fiddling
Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 03:08 PM by Prisoner_Number_Six
He should have a hose on his shoulder, and he should be trying to put out some of the fires he started.

He is, after all, the PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY pretzeldent.

7. But then he wouldn't be Nero, would he??
And we would have a lot less of a chance of kicking his party out of the WH in 2008.

I say, let him stay on vacation and stay fucking up.

5. I want him in the hot glare of the cameras
what 5 weeks vacation do the soldiers get, especially the one's on the
2nd or 3rd tour of duty, he's always talking about sacrifice on the
part of the American people, maybe he should show us how it's done.

with a putter in his priviledged little gloved hand.

And no, I am not kidding.

Folks...this is who you voted for. (well I didn't...and I know DUers didn't either...but...)

I talked to a guy who said that he just got back from the Gulf over there, he said it was 120 degrees every day.

9. Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
We don't know if he did, but he did display a lack of concern until the blame was laid at his feet. So what did he do? He found a scapegoat, the Christians.

Who will Bush scapegoat? My bet is he will blame the Camp Casey protesters somehow for distracting him from the hard work he should have done.

10. That's not going to work, though
he hasn't even seen them.

They don't matter to him. Can't hear them from where he is.
