Today, I was standing probably within a mile of where Bush hid in the underground on Sept 11th. I got there shortly after a jet landed --ahhh the smell of JP4. Anyway, I looked for the beer tent. Chatted with some of the military people. Met up with the Army recruiters. They weren't to enthusiastic (BTW, I'm X army). Tried to make conversation -- not interested. Navy had some kind of ride/simulator or something. Air Force dudes were very proud of there B-52's.
My jist? The anti-war movement is killing the Army. Never seen it like this...

1. I take it Offutt was hosting an air show? |

Do you think their apathy was due to the war in general, decreasing recruitment, the heat, what?

is in the Naval reserve. He transfered in from the Air Force. There is an air show at Barnes Air National Guard Base. He was asked to help recruit for the Navy this weekend. On Friday night he was called to let him know that he would not need to show up. The Navy canceled.
