...I've heard something like 6 a.m.
....I just hate to think of people trying to cope with the worst of this storm in the dark....you know electrical power is going to be gone....this is a nightmare...

reported landfall estimated around 8am.
Katrina has slowed a bit, wind dropped slightly due to enlargement of eye, but expect it grow stronger again unless it hits some cooler waters closer to shore.
