Edited on Sun Aug-28-05 06:05 PM by Melodybe
If you are running for office next year and you claim to be a democrat, then the line in the sand is drawn, if your goal is not to Indict, Impeach, and Imprison this sob you call president, then you do not deserve my vote.

End of story, INDICT, IMPEACH, IMPRISON!

In fact as a show of how serious this is, I'm now changing that to my sig line, in a show of solidarity place change yours as well.

9. I tend to agree...
...though I am a fan of getting the best government we can. This may mean some compromising is necessary, but yeah, they deserve to be voted out, too.

whats the difference. i know better. i know i dont have to s p e l l it out for you

12. Screw a DINo that gives corporations even more power over our lives
At this point I am seeing no difference in the DLC and the republican party.

There are plenty of dems that I like, Dean, Kennedy, Clark, Kerry, Edwards, Boxer and Conyers, etc, etc.

But if they don't get with it and start demanding that these people should be in jail, then forget them.

The DLC is a disease on this party, if they won't demand for Bush's head, then they aren't helping us.

15. cut your nose off to spite your face
my son has this infliction. it is not productive. it is not wise. i am hoping he out grows this tendency and just a matter of immaturity. i confront this behavior often. has never been one of my challenges.

now, can we help them along, i hope so. so that we can accomplish what you are talking. but never, NEVER would i not vote for a dem as opposed to bush because they didnt throw the tantrum i want them too. i see kerry speak up often, sticking his ass on the line, and then i watch this board erupt into too late, fuck you, dont care what you say, hands over ears and la la la la i am not listening.

oh ya, that is going to get these guys speaking up

18. You're wrong, I wish that I could believe you but I don't.
Why haven't any democrats like Kerry and Hillary and Biden come out and called this war what it is?

Why hasn't every dem in Washington gotten up and screamed DSM, why do they purposely not call Bush a fucking liar?

Cause they are all about corporations having more money and power.

To them what do we matter? We aren't the ones lining their pocket books.

They are no good and if they don't fucking call for these bastards to go to jail then we are all screwed.

20. see you arent even telling the truth in this
i KNOW kerry has called them liars. i KNOW kerry has said this war is fucked. not his exact words.

but if they dont stand up and throw tantrums and call for them to go to jail, then ..........they are no good.

so a waste of energy. truly. i am sorry you feel that way, has to be tough to live with such limited and outrageous expectation, but it is what you chose to live. cant be fun

dont vote. and those of us that dont want to go under republican control for another 4 years will work our ass of and donate and do what we can to change administration, and you dont vote.

you choice.

22. you wont be proved wrong melodybe, i assure you
i am sure whatever the dems do will not be far enough for you and you will never be proved wrong. even if what happens in your face, you wont allow yourself to be proved wrong. no, i dont think you would love to be proved wrong.

the dems have fought a lot, said a lot and done a lot in the last handful of months, and they are ceremoniously attacked on this board for their efforts, too little too late. kerry has gone after everything that we have wanted challenged. and always, there are consistent members on this board that dont say kick ass kerry, they say, too little too late

you want people to get up there on the senate floor and throw a hissy fit, they wont do it. so i know you will not be proved wrong.

but then whoever thinks the answer is to attack and destroy the democratic party, in order to get rid of bush, well that logic just simply escapes me. all the things bush is responsible for i continually see people yell and scream and rant and rave at the democrat. democrat didn't do it, but gets the brunt of our disgust because they didnt,.....rant and rave and yell and scream.

I'm inclined to agree.

Send them to jail, send them to the front lines in Iraq, take away everything they have and show them what they are doing to millions of people every single day.

Voting? Voting? What the fuck does it matter who I vote for if DEMOCRATS keep getting Diebold machines in their states.

Wake up and smell the coffee, some Dems care, Dean, Clark, Sharpton. Boxer, Jackson, Conyer, but the ones running the DLC don't.

I'm trying to save us time here, the quicker we all acknowledge that they don't care about us or our movement, the better off we'll be.

17. Hear, Hear!
This is the absolute minimum the Democratic party can and should do, to retain the respect of their supporters. Some *political* militancy is long overdue, and badly needed. Note: wanting to hold this sociopathic war criminal to account isn't necessarily "right" or "left", in terms of economic or social policy. You can be on either side of "free trade", energy policy, gay marriage, the deficit, et al...and still have a basic core of values that's been so outraged by this criminal regime that you finally strap on your balls--or a feminine equivalent...not trying to be sexist--and remember your pledge to defend the Constitution of the United States. It did the GOP no harm at all to impeach Clinton over a blow job...with a bare minimun of brains and guts, it won't harm us to impeach Bush over the most serious Constitutional crimes in US history, bar none. And if it *does* hurt us...then maybe that's a sign that we really are near the end of our Constitutional system. But the basic point is well-made, and we shouldn't support--or even show respect for--anyone who does *not* promise impeachment.

23. It's "mantra," not "montra"...
...and members of our party are "Democrats" (big D) not "democrats" (small d). Use of the latter simply indicates one whom believes in, or supports, a "democratic" form of government; the former refers to the specific political party in the United States.

All that tidy English language housekeeping now out of the way, allow me to say: you do with your vote what you wish. I'm voting Democratic right down the line in 2006; Straight Party Ticket. We've simply got to get those committee gavels into the hands of Democratic Senators and Representatives.

25. Sorry to be nitpicky
but impeachment IS indictment. I believe that they really can't vote to throw Bush in jail, they can only remove him from office. As I recall a dem rep from florida was impeached before being elected to congress. I do agree wholeheartedly that Bush should be immpeached/
