8pmET: Online Peace vigil for NO begins now
I'm lighting a candle for hope and peace to all in the path of this
storm. I will also visualize unwinding and calming this storm.
Thanks to all who join this thread. Please only positive thoughts here. Please join in a moment of focussed peace and silence keeping mind that we are all connected, we are all of love and peace, and we do have miraculous powers.

17. Lord Jesus
May Your Mercy and Protection cover all those who are in Katrina's path. May they be protected from all harm. Let this storm dissipate quitely and with little loss.

May your abundant supply be made available to all those who need things, and your power of Divine Restoration fill the empty places of many people and restore what is lost witth something greater.

Let America's heart of charity fill with an overwhelming desire to help all who need it where they need it ad when they need it.

51. Jesus said to the winds and the sea
Peace, be still
and the winds stopped blowing and the sea became calm.

Yo, Jesus! Here we are.
Of course he's also quoted as saying after he leaves all that he can do so can we.
Of course he also said he'd be right back. I realize that a sense of spiritual imperative has a sense of immediacy, that kairos (God's time) doesn't translate well in kronos (man's time) and that he was human speaking God's word.

But hey dude, this would be a good time to come and say Peace, be still. Just a suggestion.

I am not religious, don't go to church, but am deeply fond of Jesus, man or myth. I have lit candles and all we can do is say to the wind and the sea Peace, be still

72. Thank you "the elusive" titoresque for leading the vigil. If it was
an act of mother nature or who knows what else ;), Katrina veered from a direct hit to New Orleans, and it seems that although there is a lot of damage, so far it doesn't seem to be totally catastrophic.
