Brian Williams is reporting from the Superdome
Do you think NBC is having second thoughts about him?
Seriously, how are they going to get him out of there in a day or two?

1. Send Anderson Cooper!
Now this is the type of hurricane I want to see Anderson stand out in!

8. Heh! No kidding.
My wife just asked if Cooper was going to be down there. He seems to live for the dangerous stuff (unlike a certain president I know...).

36. I think he ripped them in that hurricane that almost blew him away
and doesn't realize they are ripped.

But hey am I going to tell him? No way. :)

29. MSNBC had some guy in the studio on a one-man elevator-
just so we could see how high 6ft, 12 ft, and 20ft were :eyes:

And they kept the camera on a close shot the whole time so you couldn't even get a sense of the height anyway.

He'd climb back up the rope to resume his life because he was only doing it for the exercise anyway.

14. I just all of a sudden missed Peter Jennings.

I was flipping around wondering why I couldn't find anyone on the news I wanted to stick with, a vague kind of disappointment--then I just read your thread and remembered PJ.

Who wouldn't have been there, but still. Aaron Brown and Brian Williams just ain't cuttin' it. I guess they're trying to get people to trust Brian, cutting his teeth on this so to speak....

20. I miss him too, right now...
He'd know that it was about the people, not the sensationalism (e.g. Faux's "Wrath Of Katrina"). Wonder what'd be going through his head, looking down on all this... :(

35. Same here! I was missing Dan Rather earlier today, and had forgotten
that I really miss P. Jennings too, especially in times like these. He got me through 9/11 and a lot of other crapola since then. I've given up on Aaron Brown, though I really liked him as a sincere, and genuine, if not brilliant reporter, once upon a time.
