I went to Camp Casey II yesterday, all day. Ask me how hot it was.
I lost track of how many bottles of water I drank. I :patriot: all the full time campers, I don't know how they are doing it.

I am so glad I went, never met so many great people.

Thankfully a large thunderstorm came up and really cooled things off.

1. I'm jealous. I thought about going, but
it would've been a long drive by myself.

9. I thank all the peole who sent in money, y'all paid for all the water,
tent, food, so much food. We had so many people come the food line was long, but worth the wait.

The stupid republicans were driving in front of the camp with huge flags with signs that said support the troops, but using lots gas.
The real freak show was at downtown Crawford, a collection of ratty houses, trust me if you never see Crawford you haven't missed anything.

15. That wasn't us, but we were right next to those tables.
Next time we'll have to have a sign. But I think the table was kinda impromptu. VelmaD dragged me over when she saw my DU t-shirt.

10. It was so hot I know how a baked potato feels.
A few people were being treated for heat, I must have drank a least 8 bottles of water per hour, and everything just sweated back out.

In Iraq it gets to be 126 degrees, and the people don't have bottles cold water to drink or AC. :grr: :grr: :grr:

8. Off topic...
Did you see any aircraft yesterday. Civilian or military? I assume there might be some sort of no fly zone around the pig farm, but I was curious if big brother bothered to take any aerial photographs.

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread: :How how hot was it?" ;)

11. All I saw was a helicopter taking off from the big white church across
the road, I think it might have been from some TV station.

I asked where Bush's pig farm was and someone said behind the camp and the road to it is next to camp so this must be true because there was always a car on road high enough to watch us.
