Homeland security Department in New Orleans |
|
The New Orleans Homeland Security Director was saying that they would not put more than 20-30,000 into the Superdome. They would open other shelters. They are doing full searches for weapons, drugs, and other contraband.

The Superdome Sugar Bowl attendence exceeded 79,000. Seems like they could get quite a few more in there.

3. That's sitting in those god awful wooden seats |

For a shelter people need to be able to lay down. That leaves the halls and ramps and the floor of the arena. If the arena floods then that will only leave the halls and ramps.
