Keep the prayers and good thoughts rolling |
|
It's looking like things may not be as bad.... Katrina is rocking every so slightly to the East. It's gonna be bad, no doubt. But may not be the worst. That is a win in this situation.

Anything less than 'the worst' would be good news.

6. They are rolling from here. I've been glued to the Net since it |
|
became obvious that this would be, even under the best of circumstances, a major tragedy. Let's pray that New Orleans is spared a complete apocalypse.

7. The impact of the storm surge will be key |
|
If the storm surge is minimized and doesn't breech the levies, then N.O. will not be destroyed.
If the storm surge is large enough to get over the levies, N.O. drowns.
The storm has been fluctuating in intensity for the last 3 hours, right around 150-160 mph, around 902-907 mB. We'll probably know better in two or three hours how the area fared.

9. I've spent most of the weekend thinking about the worst things that could |
|
happen and I have spent the last few hours thinking about the best. They said landfall was going to be in about 30 min to an hour. We'll know more then. Wherever you are...send your positive energy to the coast of LA.
