Little Toy Soldiers
That's how Bush sees the armed forces. Little toy soldiers that he can play with.

They aren't "real" people; witness the level of disrespect he has for ANY AND ALL "real" soldiers:

== His father.

== John McCain.

== Colin Powell.

== John Kerry.

== General Erik Shinseki.

The list just goes on. He really thinks anyone DUMB enough to sign up to "fight for our country" is ... expendable.

Like little toy soldiers. Knock them down, and pull more out of the box.

They aren't there to fight for "freedom and democracy." They aren't there to "save us all from the terrorists." They are there to steal oil for his buddies, and help Halliburton hide the government handouts.

Its really simple. Its a question of money. Bush was bought and paid for by a bunch of rich people, and the destruction of our armies is simply "collateral damage." Its not like they really matter.

After all, they were "stupid" enough to volunteer, and from his point of view, that makes them...HIS.

His real problem with Cindy Sheehan and the rest of the "peace-niks" is that they keep insisting the soldiers DON'T belong to HIM, but instead belong not just to the families, but to our nation. He can't cope with that; no one ever taught him about decency, patriotism and responsibility.

His parents failed him, and our nation. He is literally, a psychopathic personality with an inability to see anything other than...

...little toy soldiers to be knocked around....

:cry:

6. And their kodak moments
It's all about how it looks on the surface to these people. Picture perfect moments, like on a flight deck in jumpsuit. No matter what the price, things will look good.

2. In talking to young anti-anti-War protestors at Nichols Fountain, I find

that, probably, a significant minority of war supporters assume that different people have different functions in the big scheme of things and they know what those functions are. It is their function to go to Princeton and the University of Chicago and learn how to be the "managers" of those whose function it is to go in harm's way. I imagine some of them justify themselves with the Bible verses about the different parts of the body having different functions, but, note, again, how they assume that they completely know and understand what those differences are, and by virtue of their own position, they have the responsibility to tell others how to function. Blasphemy!

Scratch a "Christian" find a blasphemer.

7. They really do think that
The neocon types. I remember a discussion about school bullying, a year or two ago, and the one gal got on, a tv spot maybe, and went on about how bullying is natural. It's part of the pecking order, and that, some kids ARE better than others, and that it's how it's going to be later...so there's no reason for it not to start in school. That later in life, her type of kid would be your kids boss, naturally superior, and there was no reason to pretend they are equal.

She was happy with that thought, had no problem with it. She really thought that; her kids are better than yours, and if they pick on your kids in school, your kids deserve it. And will continue to deserve it. As a class, in general, our betters will STAY our "betters". Better being more wealthy. We're to admire them for sending their children to public school. Really. They think that.

I don't know how many other people think like that. I know I don't know too many personally. Thankfully.

8. I taught highschool for 10 years.

This way of thinking is very common.

I taught in upper-middleclass districts, and private, chaperoned proms, drove the debate team all over the state etc., with the help of some parents. You'd be surprised how many have very strong attitudes about and behaviors toward the "riff raff", and that was just upper-middle class, not even the "real" aristocracy.

9. Yes, it's shocking, isn't it?
That attitude goes along so well with our culture. Blacks in prison in insane numbers...and some ditsy gal tells me "Well, that must mean we're more humane, because we don't execute ours". She from a well-off family; she's never had to face prison herself. Or prison for her sons, or husband, or brothers, or father, or ANYONE. Yet she feels qualified to say something like that, knowing, because I'd just told her, that WE have more people in prison RIGHT NOW than any other nation on earth. Per capita or by sheer numbers, we're number one in both categories. We have one twenty fifth of the world population, and hold one quarter of the prison population. 1/25 to 1/4. Because so many Americans are just so BAD now? Sure, that makes sense...if you're a numbers idiot.

So sad. We've just got too many little fools running around...fat, dumb and happy, over-privileged, under-exercised and thinking they're better, basically because they're white. Hidden racism, hidden class-ism, hidden sexism...hidden immorality. Now let's go shopping...

It's so funny how, sometimes, one sentence out of their mouths says it all. We're better because we don't execute our blacks. I had to wonder if she'd have said the same about slavery. I'd lay money that, 150 years ago, she would have, and all i can do is wish she wasn't typical...of her breed.
