I wish John Kerry was president now
He would be right in the middle of NOLA helping out unlike the bastard in chief we got now.

17. I wish we had either one of them
I agree with the orignial poster. If Kerry or Gore were president they wouldn't be off having a birthday cake with John McCain.

:bounce: I've done a fair share of waiting for the other guy to come up with something good. Gore would really "have our backs". :hi:

32. I can tell you why!
As a CT. constituant of Joe L., I firmly believe it was for his moderate views, and to win the Jewish vote in FLA. and overseas! Up until recently, when Joe started acting more Rep. than Dem., he was well loved in Ct. I'm afraid now he's burned his bridges, and we're looking for a good Lib. Dem to challenge him. He is a good mediator tho'! Have to give him that.

12. Ummm... sorry, he wouldn't be doing that in a billion years
He might be as close as possible to the damage, overseeing the FEMA and Coast Guard operations, but he wouldn't be personally hauling somebody out of the floodwaters. No president would be personally involved in rescue operations, unless he were trapped by the flood waters himself.

29. I beg to differ!!
Maybe you recall during the campaign, Kerry and Teresa where on their way somewhere in the midwest I believe. Some poor guys car was broken down along the road, and guess who made the driver back up and stop to help?? I am so proud to say that it was Gentleman John Kerry! Bush would have driven by and given him the "finger"!! Speaking of fingers, I had the weirdest dream the night before last!! It was about a bug that turned into a beautiful butterfly just as I was getting ready to hit it with the fly swatter! Before my eyes it grew larger until I noticed it was growing this "bulbous nose" In my dream I thought to myself, "now if I kill this bug it will make one hell of a mess on the wall" I decided to go ahead and kill it anyway, and just as I reached back to smack it, it gave me the finger!!!!! I woke up laughing out loud. What do you think this means, if anything??:silly: :hi: DC

4. No, he wouldn't
If he were, he'd be crazy.

The president doesn't need to be standing in the middle of a hurricane.

8. Um, Buchanan?
The Patster is off his rocker even more, but I agree that there aren't many who could be worse.

How can that twit go stumping for a pet plan while Americans are dying here and in Iraq? He can't be in the situation room if he's in front of a mike. :eyes: What a terrible president.

15. I know
I just told my hubby today that I can't ever remember a more callous president. When Clinton was president and a disaster happened, he was right there, or he was back in the white house with tears in his eyes, empathy in his voice, truly caring about those in this country. I cannot believe how * is. I truly can't. I watched him today and just could not imagine this man is supposed to be our leader. What an embarassment to the country.

16. I've wished John Kerry was president since Nov. 3,2004!
Kerry would be there now touring the damage and visiting those affected by the devastation. He understands the true meaning of being Commander and Chief and President of the people.

21. He would be back at the White House
talking hourly with the the leadership of the cities and states involved and figuring out how best to help.

He sure as hell wouldn't be out golfing while Americans are going through this kind of misery and suffering.

Oh wait, Kerry has a heart and soul. * just has a smirk where his heart should be. Bastard.

22. Kerry wouldn't have cut funding and FEMA would be better
prepared to handle this emergency.

Of course, if Gore was President, 9/11 wouldn't have happened. Able Danger wouldn't have been cancelled and the CIA and FBI warnings wouldn't have been ignored.

The LA National Guard would be in LA right now, providing needed support, instead of watching the devastation on TV in Iraq.

looks like in a time of crisis in our country instead of a spoiled brat actor.
