San Diego vigil planned TONIGHT to welcome Bush
From: sdcpj-admin@lists.quantumimagery.com

Subject: Give Bush the Welcome he deserves

George Bush will be in town August 29 and 30 to mark the anniversary of Japan's surrender and the end of WWII.

There will be a candelight vigil Monday evening, August 29, 7 p.m. at the Hotel Del Coronado where Bush will be staying.

The Candlelight Vigil will be from 7-9 p.m. on Ocean Boulevard, just north of the Hotel Del Coronado. We will be on the west side of the sidewalk running along Ocean. There is no parking on Ocean Boulevard. The head of the vigil will be at the end closest to the Hotel; we plan to spread north on Ocean as far as we can go! BRING CANDLES!!!!

Take the Coronado Bridge (which becomes 3rd St.) all the way to Orange Avenue. Turn left on Orange. The Hotel Del is on the corner of Orange and R.H. Dana Place (on west side)/Adela (east side).

If you turn right on R.H. Dana Place (or before that) you may be able to find parking in the neighborhood.
If you turn left on Adela, there is also a lot of street parking on B and C streets.

You can also take the Coronado Bridge (3rd St.) to Alameda, turn left and follow Alameda until it becomes Ocean. Look for parking in the neighborhood, as close to the Hotel Del as you can get.

Parking is very tight in Coronado, so please carpool and allow plenty of time.

7. I don't understand this comment. If the information is not useful to you,
ignore it. It's obviously meant mostly for San Diegans or those nearby who can ge there--and in general for those who like to know that a peace vigil has been organized in San Diego. I'm glad to have read it. It heartens me that people around the country--and especially a military town (navy) like SD--are organizing against Bush and his war. THANK YOU, SAN DIEGO ORGANIZERS! I APPLAUD WHAT YOU ARE DOING, AND GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! And I'm sure that you are also heartening those folks in Texas out in the 100+ degree heat trying to stop the war.

3. Ahem, excuse me, we have having a national disaster in the USA
Do you think you could spare a few minutes from your busy celebrating and vacationing, Mr. Bush, to maybe notice what is happening in Louisiana? Or do your propaganda hacks have that covered for you?
