Rumors are flying of a .40 to 1.00 price increase by morning.

6. I'd rather know the facts.
They are usually much more reliable than rumors.

Peace.

20. By the time this is a fact, it will be too late for you to save any money.
And that is generally true of any market fluctuation.

10. probably. another 5-15 cents maybe.
i saw gas today for the 2.60 range which was lower by 10-15 or so than it was last week. so maybe tomorrow it will be back up to the 2.85.

the problem is systemic and cancerous. the oil barons are raping us for extra profit while the war vampires are making out like bandits.
bushco heaven.

going out for gas tonight to save 10-25/gal or even more on one fillup isnt going to make a big difference and we are stuck for now with our oil addiction.

21. I'm interviewing for a job today that will cut my commute.
It will cut my commute by 15-20 minutes each way. That will save me some money. Unfortunately it won't impact the oil companies that much. But every little bit helps.

16. Actually, the lowest price I found tonight
was a nickel than the lowest price I passed this morning, and 25 cents lower than the vast majority of the prices I passed this morning (which had all dropped 11 cents by the time I passed them on the way home).

5. We did that the other day
The car and the truck. In a week it will look cheap.

And my car has had this hesitation thing on startup going on that dropped the gas mileage. I was plunking around the net last night looking for info on locking gas caps. I found a site for my model of auto and we think we've got the problem licked. We had to find the fuses under the dashboard and see if the one for the fuel pump was blown. It wasn't. But hubby reseated all the fuses and the car doesn't hesitate and gas mileage has already jumped 5 mpg. Nothing like routine maintenance and seeing that connections are sound to have a car running well.

Btw, he went to the auto parts store tonight and got me:
-A new air filter that allows more air efficiency
-Cleaning kit for the new air filter
-A locking gas cap

7. I know I should but I won't have any extra money until Wednesday.
My cc's are maxed out, unfortunately. And I think you're right, the price will jump dramatically.

12. If you want prices to drop, then DON'T fill both your cars for 2 weeks!
If everyone runs out and fills all their vehicles tonight, then wadda ya think's gonna happen with the old supply/demand thing?

4 cases of Q-Tips and maxi-pads. In a few weeks, I'll be bartering them for fuel.

15. Can you bike? Can you drive part way and bike the rest? Can you bus?
Can you walk? I don't think it's a crisis. I think it's just what we need. People will never consider alternatives or demand new technology until the price is painful.

22. Well, you have only saved a few dollars.
By the time your gas tanks are empty, the price will be up anyway. So you are still going to have to pay the increased price.
