Most people in his position would at least PRETEND to care about the war his country is waging, the natural disaster that just happened, etc. etc.

But he and his people seem to think that the proper response to everything is the manic smile. "I'm all right, Jack." They do it on purpose. I don't get it.

he isn't going to change his plans based on something that may happen. and the morons view it as an example of being "tough".

and of course there is the added factor that he actually doesn't care so he just can't see things as we do.
