5. I don't believe in Capital Punishment....
Especially for a stupid mistake.

Yes, he probably realizes he was wrong. So let him live to benefit from the lesson.

8. Grrrrr...This morning I was SCREAMING at NPR on my way to work
after they referred to the people 'who refused to leave'

How f*cking stupid do they have to be to realize that some people HAD NO CHOICE? And how irresponsible it is to present it that way...

  :grr:

9. Apparently one of the victims rescued today was a 97 year old
who I guess had "refused" to leave.

14. Some people have no concept of no money. To some, only
having a few thousand dollars in the bank means "I'm broke"....to the unfortunate masses of people there, no money means NO MONEY! No means to leave and no where to go. Good Lord, those poor people, having to make a life or death decision based on the dollar...

11. Daryn Kagen the ice queen
CNN showed the video of Mr. Johnson, who lost his wife as they both clung to life and she was swept away in the water. Devastated and in shock all he could say was "she's gone, she's gone". The look on the mans face.... he descibed how she was pulled from his arms by the water, her last words were "take care of the kids and grandkids".
I was bawling as I watched.
Then perky Daryn just quipped "Well there will be lots of stories like that" and gave her ice cold reptilian grin. She is so detached from the human race she can't relate to the suffering of anyone.

16. She is an incredible pig.
Watching video of a woman and her child being lifted off a roof, Kagen was actually annoyed! "Time and time again they were told to get out!"

Her mouth is actually twisted in some kind of sneer. Looks like she has been sucking on something bitter and acrid.

15. That fuckhead's obviously never been to New Orleans,
or if he had, he never strayed outside the tourist areas.

Does he have ANY IDEA how many people in that city don't own a car?

What an asshole.

17. what you said
People don't realize urbanites don't have cars...it'd be like this if something like this happened to Boston or NYC...only the rich own cars and could get out.
I'd be fucked, and so would all my friends and family in NYC.
