1. Does CNN still have their "blog editors"
explaining it all for you can stay tuned and not have to read them?

4. because the danger lies in the outlets people belive are objective
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 10:24 AM by burythehatchet
not in the ones that they know are biased.

on edit: When Time purchased CNN from Turner, it was the highest ranked news show on cable (maybe the only one) and it was completely trusted. This is exactly the type of asset that could not be left in the hands of a maverick owner with a liberal wife. This outlet had to be acquired. Once it was, it has gradually been used as a propoganda tool of the CIA and DOD. Don't be fooled by shows like Dead Wrong. Doesn't the title itself "wrong" indicate that its a controlled release of certain information which is already known? Nobody was wrong, people are guilty. Anyway, if you can follow the reasoning above, you question should be answered.

6. Agreed. But...
More people watch Fox than CNN. And a great deal of them think it's perfectly objective -- fair and balanced and all that.

I'd like to see the Fairness Doctrine reintroduced. Fox would go out of business the next day.

8. So would CNN

Did you hear Paula Zahn lead off about Robertson?

She said something like..." Is he doing the wrong thing (to call for the assassination) or IS HE ON TO SOMETHING?"

That was her lead off for the segment.

That is MORE dangerous than even FAUX.

5. I Don't Know If I'd Say They Were More Dangerous,...
...but cnn DOES try to claim impartiality.

faux may SAY "fair and balanced", but theres definitely a "wink, wink" about that. Even the most conservative people I know will admit that faux is a gop mouthpiece. There is an ever shrinking perception that cnn is news, not propaganda, and that makes for some danger!

Just my possibly overpriced 2 cents worth.

9. Because Fox wears its bias on its sleeve. CNN has aura of neutrality.
So when they lie, people think they're just reporting the facts.

Remember when they lied about that letterman segment about the bored kid at the bush speech.

If FOX had done that, nobody would have believed them from the start.

11. The "Blog Babes" should wear very sexy swimsuits.
Then CNN could leap ahead of FOX.
