Poll question: Which will be top priority to rebuild?
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 10:53 AM by leftofthedial
The bushturd assures us that the fedurl gummint will help people rebuild.

The repuke administrations of these red states assure us that they will reascue people and rebuild (after they finish shooting looters).

Insurance companies are expecting a dent in their massive profits, but are already looking for ways to force the rest of us to offset this small hiccup in their hoarding of loot. Still, they will have to pay for some of the rebuilding costs.

Rummie wants a piece of the action too, so expect Halliburton to begin building "temporary" bases for the troops they are sending in and refugee camps for the civilians.

We clearly have wise humanitarians in charge of the rebuilding. What will be their top priority in rebuilding?

1. I voted for Million-dollar beachfront homes
They need to get them rebuilt so there will be stability and leadership in the community.
This will trickle down to the middle class and the poor. but we must support our rich people first.

7. Oh, hell, they'll fix the SUPERDOME first
And then the hotels and restaurants, and then the rich folks' homes....bread and circuses! They'll expect the hospitality industry workers to live in the linen closets, in the meanwhile.....

18. Imho, basic infrastructure first.
Water services, electrical, roads/bridges as needed to get access. That's all needed, even if oil or industry infrastructure is the real priority.

WHERE basic services are first restored is the real telling factor. The usual excuse is that industrial zones are easier to bring up to speed, and faster, than residential areas. But it's largely a matter of the priorities that are set.

Do you help people, or money, first?
