WDSU is telling people to get out of New Orleans now if they can.
This is getting worse by the minute. There is only one way out of town. The government needs to start evacuating people to minimize the disaster that is happening NOW.

1. Major highway gone.
Knee-deep water around Superdome. Reptiles, red ants, oil and chemical contamination, bodies in the water.

Will be trying to drop tons of sand on the levee break in an attempt to plug it up.

9. 3,000lb sandbags
Damn! Can you imagine what a 3,000lb sandbag looks like? In any case, it'll take a while. There's no way that helicopters can carry more than 1 at a time.

13. 3000 lbs of sand is surprisingly little
sand is very heavy - we're talking something like a childs plastic wading pool filled with sand.

11. The unthinkable is
that many of the people that are alive in the water and not rescued yet are going to be having mad alligators and snakes in the water with them.

15. This is just the kind of high drama that they normally
love, only on a much much bigger scale....

You can only conclude that they are suppressing it for some reason...perhaps to prevent panic?
