Bush working hard to build support for WWII
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,167675,00.html

What that necessary, successful war and post war occupation has to do with Bush's disasterous war of choice--besides neocon envy of the former--is yet to be seen.

1. I just can't do it.
I can't bring myself to click on a Faux news link. It only feeds them. Sorry. Can you give me a breakdown? :-)

5. Don't bother.
It's a victory over Japan commemoration in San Diego, and Bush tries to draw paralells between a good, successful war against an existential enemy and his shitty disaster of a war.

SOS.

4. Wars always look better in the rear-view mirror
And folks that didn't fight in them have some kind of nutty, nostalgic longing for those times. How many millions of lives were snuffed out in World War II, lives of people who might have made the 20th Century better? And yet, neocons and other idiots look back through a halcyon haze to a time of war, and they will keep alive the myth of redemptive violence for another generation of fools who will turn to the gun or the bomb to settle differences, or to teach someone a lesson (whilst learning none themselves), or for some other damnable reason.

Stupidhead likes this war he started because he and his friends are making big pots of money off of it. The rest of are just losing sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers.

7. What got me most about that speech was
he quoted Bin Laden (a quote I have never heard before) basically saying that we are fighting this war because Bin Laden called us (him) a chicken! He is fighting a war because he felt he was called out by a bully. That is the message I got from that speech.

Also he made a point to bring out the fact that his daddy was shot down during that war and now he is best friends with the Japanese leader whose daddy was in power during that war. Since when did we become "best friends" with Japan? When we started letting them BUY us?

And isn't it funny a fellow bully quoting someone who is a bully? :eyes:
