|
people?
why isn't the Army sending in teams to rescue people?
were are the medics?
is this a States-take-care-of-their-own-problems moment?

4. They are busy doing Nation Building. |
|
Too bad its not OUR nation.
The GOP Golden Rule should put this in perspective for ya:
If you want to build schools & hospitals in the USA, you are a "socialist."
If you want to build them in Iraq, you are a "patriot."

6. Because it isn't safe for them |

There are alligators, dead bodies, and chemicals in the water. With the heat, it will become a toxic cesspool soon. They aren't going to sacrifice any military bodies when they already have too few of them. They just aren't. They have plans for these bodies in Iraq and the broader middle east.

8. What makes you think this isn't happening? |
|
I know the media seems to be dropping the ball here and is way too focused on the looting. But frankly, it's impossible to get around down there and the rescue folks need to focus on the task at hand. I would imagine there is significant difficulty in even getting folks in to the area due to the devastation.
Keeping the press informed of their actions as they go does not seem to me to be a priority. Getting rescue folks in there is their first priority and frankly a logistical nightmare. I believe they are really doing the best they can in this horrendous situation. There are many folks down there risking their lives right now to save people.

11. well, let us women be in charge, we'd get this in order, pronto! |
|
since we the people have to be the media and we have to be congress; we will just have to step up and take charge of this disaster.

10. Because you need a President |
|
who can give the orders to make this sort of thing happen.
I did hear that Rummie did manage to make a feeble response but it will probably be too little, too late at this point.
