Safety of New Orleans friends, poets, activists???
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 01:29 PM by skip fox
It's so hard to get any word. Here's what I know:

Camille Martin, poet and activist associated with Green Peace, is staying with parents in Lafayette.

Bill Lavender, poet and editor, and companion were going to ride it out. I have's heard from them since 9 am CDT yesterday as the storm was just getting really bad. He sounded confident.

David Brinks, poet and stirrer of stars, was out of town with girl friend.

Alec Rawls, andother fine poet, was un north with girlfriend.

Anyone know a nything else?
