is there a current satellite photo of the LA,, MS, AL, coastline availabl?
I'd like to see how much disappeared? We have friends who live in Gautier, MS (Pascagoula) only six blocks from the Gulf. There is no info from that area. I'm sure their house was swept away.

You're not going to get a current high resolution image off the net. NOAA/GOES is about as good as it gets, I'm afraid:

11. The current image of NOLA is from 8/23. Pre-flood.
If you're really interested, you can save these overhead images (you can make out individual streets and houses) and in a week compare them with what New Orleans looks like today.

My heart goes out to the folks down there.

12. Have Google Earth! I can see my friend's house on near the Gulf,
but it's not recent. I love Google Earth!
