Bush admits we "need" Iraq for the oil
From the idiot's speech today in San Diego, as reported by the AP:

"If Zarqawi and bin Laden gain control of Iraq, they would create a new training ground for future terrorist attacks," Bush said. "They'd seize oil fields to fund their ambitions. They could recruit more terrorists by claiming a historic victory over the United States and our coalition."

http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGBLXWDK0DE.html

How many things are wrong with that paragraph? Did Zarqawi and bin Laden have control of Iraq before the war? NO. Is Iraq, thanks to Bush's war, a training ground for future terrorist attacks? YES. And then, there it is: They'd seize oil fields. The implication being, those fields will either be theirs or ours. So there's the new GOP talking point: If you like gas for your car, you need to support the war. Just imagine how bad things could get if we lose those oil fields.

A desperation ploy.

10. well, the domino theory of Vietnam was right, but in reverse
Once we enraged Vietnam sufficiently, every surrounding country became Communist, too.

4. "They'd seize oil fields to fund their ambitions."
Damned terrorists, what a nerve. Didn't they know, Bushco and the PNACers already had dibs on those oil fields to fund their neocon ambitions?

6. We "need"the Oil? We HAVE the oil! Where the F is is it??
Why did I just drop $40.00 in my tank two days ago when we're in charge of one of the richest oil reserves in the world?? He's been using that tired excuse for 2 years and gas has done nothing but go up. I don't understand why the red states are tolerating this crap.

7. Laden-Zarquawi will NEVER take control, that's where the lie is
For the simple reason that none of the factions fighting for the control of Iraq would ALLOW them.

They are "tolerated" right now because they blow themselves up and cause damage. The day the US leaves, they are going to leave too, to blow themselves up somewhere else. Because in Iraq they would be hunted down.

But it's true that the US departure from Iraq will be seen as a "victory", unless there is a real alternative international policy to save what can be saved in Iraq.

Since that policy will never be applied by the current administration, the US defeat in Iraq will solely be blamed on Bush and co, and nobody else.

8. People, the puppets don't even exist. There probably is no zaraqwi.
There probably is no Bin Laden anymore and I wouldn't be shocked. It's all been just a stupid con job, a game by the neocons and israelites like Wolfowitz to destroy all of Iraq, the middle east, and take their oil fields for consumption.

I'm guessing the war on terror is really the war on brain-dead americans to go in and take everyone's oil. :P
