are but prisons genrally filled with non dangerous people also. these are ones left behind, like the ones that had to to the dome.

5. Here Is The Problem

They had a report on the local public radio station (Florida).

Sex offenders on parole cannot be within so many feet, etc of children. So, that means they can't go to hurricane shelters (because naturally there would be children there). This presents a problem for the state if the sex offender is in a mandatory evacuation zone. One solution is sending them back to prison for the duration of the evacution. Not Gen Pop, but in the visitor area.

So, some of these prisoners aren't dangerous, some of them are, but do they deserve to die (some would say yes)? But, how can you have potentially dangerous criminals with the rest of society, that is one of the reasons why we have prisons in the first place.

And don't count on the disaster to bring out the best in everyone. If that were true, we wouldn't hear stories of looting.
