6. They are not getting food or drink. No one and I mean No one has come to
check on them. There are kids and elderly up there and no one is apparently in enough hurry to get to them. Its hotter then hell in New Orleans and with no shade.....there will be some deaths.

10. I don't understand why this country is always so unprepared for
disasters. We know hurricane season comes every year and the areas most likely to be hit. Why wasn't the infrastructure for New Orleans against flooding updated with the latest? We know days in advance where the hurricanes are likely to touch yet food and water or adequate shelters are not readied in advance? There are so many questions.

11. No matter how you spin it--the nation was not prepared and I hope that
there are congressional investigations about this non preparation.

3. They're already screwed.
The rich businessmen, lawyers, trust fund kids, made it. You don't see any of them sitting there.

The poor were guaranteed a screwing before this even started.

5. Cripes, did you see the inmates?
WTF are they going to do with all the guys in orange jumpsuits? There were probably several hundred of them sitting in the middle of an onramp.

13. because of bush, the world shrugs its shoulders...
america has got to get rid of them thieves, if not for the world's sake, then its own....
pat robertson's office replied to my email (hey brother pat, you want to jfk hugo chavez eh? what an idear! i wanna jfk you , mr robertson, cuz you obviously need the lord bigtime bad haha...) etc by claiming that chavez is chums with 'carlos the jackal' etc though carlos has been in jail for years...robertson, of course, expect the carlos name recognition to outweigh any impudent facts, at least with his admirers (and if you aint stupid, you don't matter apparently)
The New Orleans disaster is personal, to me, as i visited the big easy long ago, and have always loved it, the very idea of it! bush (and his aids robertson and john gobson and foxnews cnn etc) represent the united states, and they shouldn't
