My favorite Used Bookstore in the world.... |
|
is in New Orleans. Faulkner House books. The proprieter was a wonderful old man, and I bought some great American first-editions when I was there, and then he later helped me via email to find others.
It breaks my heart to think of all those great, old, valuable books under water.

1. I had not thought about that! |

Oh no, all the old books. I spent a lot of time just looking at them when there several years ago. That is heart breaking.

It hadn't occurred to me until now, when I looked at my shelf and saw the books I bought there. And thought about the books I had hoped to buy from there in the future. A terrible loss for book collectors.

was one of my favorite records stores. I'm sure there won't be much left when this is over.
