3. We have an aid in the OR whose parents lost everything- |
|
We have Duers here who will need help.
I'm pretty confused on how I can help.
$$$ I' will give tomorrow to the girl at work.
Blood _ I will go to Red Cross and donate
BIking to work, and now for groceries, will continue.
I have a room 1700 miles away, and could adopt a family if need be.
Maybe things will be more clear for me in the morning.

2. Red Cross has the most experience dealing with survivors of |
|
disasters. And you have a reasonable shot of your money going where you intended.

The need for help is desperate.Every little bit helps. We must rally and send money. I know a person in Punta Gorda, who is a survivor from last year's hurricanes, still living in what he calls "Femaville". He says without the Red Cross's food and help he would not have survived the first few days after Charley.
The lack of helicopters and National Guard is apparent already. The Red Cross is maxed out, and lack of money should not be an additional problem.
Thank goodness we have ** praying.

ps _ am a RN - my house is located on Cape Cod I have a room. I would purchase bus tickets for a small family and house them for a few nonths as necessary. Any one know any one who know bikes- a bike mechanic- enjoys cycling, we could hire you through Novemeber, you can bring wife, child.
I could use some help painting my house- so it would be a job. We have terrific thrift stores here.
I'm willing to share what I have.

I volunteered some time to help man much needed blood drives in the aftermath of 9/11 as well as some others. Of course, as fate would have it, there were few injured in that disaster as they mostly died, but every bit helps.

|
that's Pat Robertson's organization and he'll probably stuff half the money in his pockets.
