Buddy & Annie Spell, from Camp Casey, are bringing a satellite dish to the corner of East 14th Street and Jefferson in the town of Covington. They will be setting up a satellite dish & generator to help with communications on Thursday.

The Rural co-op of Arkansas is on it's way with more equipment to get the electricity going, but they are stuck in Mississippi because there are gas shortages.

BTW: The Spells are still looking for their daughter.

it's the "traitorous liberals" who are jumping in to help their fellow Americans. Their daughter is missing, yet they are still trying to help EVERYONE, not just themselves. The RW fundie fucks should take notes - maybe they'd learn a thing or two about genuine goodness and humanity.


I hope they find their daughter soon. :cry:

This is what the "fundie fucks" resent about us. Not simply that we can spell better than they can.

We walk the talk. Our 'christianity' is in how we live. No Saturday night bargaining sessions with a vengeful Lord. You know. The "if I try not to fart in church so much, will you give me that new (fill in the blank), God?" And, yes. I've done it myself from time to time. Difference is, I know it's bullshit.

It's not that we're better so much as it's that we strive to evolve - to be more tomorrow than what we are today. By our acts, ye shall know us.

I remember hearing Buddy speaking to Randi Rhodes about his time in Camp Casey and I heard about their daughter today.

I pray that they find her.

And also, I can't help but marvel at the fact that even during this time they are making an effort to help others.
