to handle disaster THERE HAS TO BE OVERALL LEADERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!
with some understanding of reality.....(BTW, remember Suskind's NYTimes article about how this administration is 'creating reality', and only the opposition is bogged down trying to 'understand reality'????????........guess the RW talk shows will let us know what the 'reality of Katrina' is)

the problems with airlines leaving, cruise ships leaving, no sand bags delivered, etc, etc............SOME ONE HAS TO BE IN CHARGE; get the info, listen to it with understanding, and then order action

it's clear it wasn't, it can't be W.......and everyone close to him just sat back and watched him play and said 'how cute'???????????

doesn't anyone near him know when it's serious and something has to be done and it's not a little game any more???????

where are all those 'now the adults are in charge' people?????????

(wonder what all the elected national, state, local republican officials of the affected areas think now......and if any of them will say anything publicly....and be reported!!!!!)

1. Amen!
WHERE'S BILL???

Our appointed pResident is MIA, as usual. But where's Bill? Has he been ordered to stay out of the way until georgie makes his appearance first?

I mean, we know that no one is allowed to pass georgie up, even if it's not his show...

...but still. If anyone can give comfort and encouragement to these poor people in the storm's aftermath... if anyone can swing into action with concrete ways to help, it's the Big Dog.

America needs a Leader!

5. all he can say is cooperate with your local authorities
this is his base, the red states, he didn't ask for a national relief
effort, I still can't believe this, he may visit on Friday, why doesn't
he just wait for Mardi Gras.

6. We are leaderless.
I've said this several times. Our country is without a leader. It's been like that for 5 years now.

What the hell do we need this useless oxygen-thief for?
