CNN's Ed Reams stated that another levee is on the verge of breaking |
|
He also said that the large sand bags were never delivered to repair other breach because the Army helicopter that was supposed to deliver them was diverted for search and rescue.
Maybe if Bush didn't have to have his shitty war in Iraq we would have resources to help our people.

They're suppose to help themselves! Helping them will just make them want a handout again.

justify that manly swagger and the two invisible watermelons he carries around under each arm.... oh yes, he had to have his shitty little war to impress his friends and fill their pockets with gold.

HELICOPTER?? They sent ONE fucking helicopter?!?!!? :grr:
Hey Junior, why not offer the services of Marine One? I know helping your fellow man is a huge burden for you, but it's not as if you would have to do anything personally, just make a phone call. :eyes:

15. Yes, helicopter as in one, single |

There better be coverage in the MSM as to how Bush has dangerously compromised many lives because of his stinking shitty war which has robbed the states of their National Guardsmen.
I am really angry, and I don't have loved ones down there.

I remember yesterday they were saying the worst case scenario of NOLA being under 20 feet of water had not materialized. A lot of people were breathing sighs of relief.
Now it seems the worst case scenario may be coming true after all. Hopefully, they can get people out of there.

There is a slide show of about 500 photos. They are grim, just unbelievable. The water level in N. Orleans is still rising. If the 2nd levee breaks, it's going to be catastrophic.
On one photo, I think #52, there is a photo of people walking out of a store. They're looting stuff. They had smiles on their faces.
On the next photo, we see a group of S.W.A.T team which has arrived. They're going to stop the looters. These people looked like young, inexperienced kids. They are holding machine guns. They're going to shoot to kill, so there will be more deaths.
I SINCERELY HOPE PEOPLE FIGURE OUT WHAT BUSH HAS DONE HERE. He sent the National Guard to fight in his war of aggression. They are OUR GUARDS, to protect from precisely this kind of thing.
I hope people go BALLISTIC because of this.

16. Question About The Looters... |

There have been several threads on this, some people feel too many and yes I've posted in some. But looking at those pics and reading this thread I thought, Holy Frigging Ship, are those people now in the way of rising water?

were going to fill that breach in time to stop the flooding. Even if they had an infinite number of helicopters they may have still given up the effort.

the first name in NATIONAL Guard is NATIONAL, as in let's make sure we can take care of domestic needs when they arise, especially a big-ass disaster. But hey, let's just send them half-way around the world and stretch their resources as thin as possible so I can prove a point with the guy that tried to kill my daddy.
This disaster is unfortunately for the innocent souls, the price of not paying any attention to domestic issues. And now we don't have the resources to pay attention.

When I watched the 5:30 news tonight I wondered what effect the war in Iraq was having on our National Security when it comes to disasters such as this one. Are there enough National Guardsmen left to take care of the area? There sure aren't enough helicopters. There are three months still left of the hurricane season.

|
News helicopters. Police, army, national guard. Is everything almost in Iraq? Are we feeling safer yet? My God, there are even tons of private helicopters that can lift a bag of sand. Fire helipcopter and border copters. Forget the illegal alians sneaking in. Go for the sand bags.

fuel is almost out for anyone in NO and the whole disaster area. If they have any major fires (believe me there is a reason for the saying 'come hell or high water') or any need to mobilize like to evacutate the dome, they have no fuel or little fuel to run any type of vehicle.
