To my sweet lady, my soul.
Wars never harmed you then,
though some took your beat
and others stole
away the strands of your ephemeral violin.

The king's city was always too rich
for the blood of the pulse.
And, the violin that played
in Atlanta was never your style, sweet lady.

But, little sister up the muddy banks
always wanted to be just like you.
There was nothing it could do,
because, darlin', there was only one of you.

In your arms, it didn't matter who or what
you welcomed, they were all the same.
The true present of a multicolored spirit
played on the wings of an angel.

3. Thank you.
But, it's an allowed affair, one I gained after a visit when I was 13.

4. Second draft.
War never harmed you,
though some took your beat
and other stole
your ephemeral violin.

King city was too rich
for the blood of the pulse.
And, the dance that played
in Atlanta was ne'er your style, sweet lady.

You see, litter sister up the muddy banks
always wanted to be you.
But, there ain't nothin' she could do,
'cause, darlin', there was only one a' you.

In your arms, it don't matter who or what
you welcomed, there were all the same.
The present of multicolored strands
played from the chariot above.
