These were the words of Kate Hale, Dade County Director of Emrgency Services, in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew and in response to a "sluggish" federal response.

These were the words that brought down GHW Bush's 1992 reelection bid. Mayor Nagin of New Orleans just got through ranting about "too many frickin' chiefs" rolling into Louisiana and muddling the decision-making process. He's pissed about a failure to stop the breach of the levess, and his city will suffer the worst as a result.

The Army Corps of Engineers has a lot of explaining to do--this could well be the end of New Orleans as a city.

1. The Cavalry, they need...Custer (read Bush) they don't.
Anything Bush has to say/offer, he can phone in.

But he won't stay out...must have a photo-op. It's hard work Presidentin'
