For the love of Pete...how could Bush POSSIBLY tour the devastation? |
|
I just heard on CNN that Junior will tour LA, to view the devastation.
We all know this coward will not set foot anywhere unless the audience is hand picked and the format completely scripted and sanitized.
This useless ninny doesn't have the temerity, the guts or the courage to stand among everyday American people who have been affected by this hurricane.
Mark my words. He'll bail out or else he'll arrange a hollow, manufactured publicity stunt with no real meaning or heart. He won't be anywhere unless he's 100 percent insulated from anyone who might look at him the wrong way.
Clinton or Kerry would have been there by NOW! They would have been speaking directly with survivors and providing hope and leadership. How insulting to the survivors of this devastation--to be told that the pResident is returning to DC to form a planning committee.
Big frickin whoopie! Any jackass can sit in a meeting and eat donuts!
As usual, when Junior should be on his feet--REACTING LIKE A PRESIDENT--he's pulling another "My Pet Goat" and behaving like the insensitive, useless toad that we've all come to know.
I bet ANYTHING that his Friday visit to LA is a complete FARCE. The man doesn't have the guts or the integrity to legitimately tour the devastation and talk with these people without a script or someone protecting him from average Americans who might tell him what they think.
Just watch--Junior will fly to LA and it will be a meaningless, symbolic, politically saturated and tightly scripted trip that shields him from real people and real situations. We all know that this man cannot be a real President. He cares more about shielding himself from reality, than he does about the people of this country--even when they're experiencing unimaginable hurt.
Watch him on Friday. If he goes--the trip will be a vacuous joke and an insult to the victims who deserve so much more from their President.
In my opinion, the man should continue his vacation and leave the honorable, courageous, sincere and humanitarian efforts to people who actually care more about others than they do about their own flimsy egos.
I say--Bush, stay in your planning meeting, and send a contingent of REAL MEN AND WOMEN who will actually listen to these people and understand their pain and suffering!

2. It's going to take a lot of local cops and officials to deal with him! |

He shouldn't be diverting their attention and resources from disaster relief on to HIM, for HIS photo op.

5. well, I guess we can guess where he will NOT be going ... |
|
I don't think he'll be in the Superdome, holding a flashlight and sitting there meekly while frustrated, grief-stricken citizens bawl him out for cutting disaster assistance programmes, and sending their state's National Guard units and their rescue equipment to Iraq.

I doubt that bastard would want to be anywhere NEAR the common people who desperately need help. That spoiled boy in a bubble could care less. Anything he does is all for show...a facade. He makes me sick. :puke:

Touch down at Barksdale AFB (from 9/11) - helo down to NO, fly over the City, then a scripted press and political event in Lake Charles or Baton Rouge - then back to Barksdale and back to Washington while he is analyzing the story line in "My Pet Goat."

14. I'd personnally like to have him spend a weekend in the dome |
|
(although I know it is about to be evacuated) This type of visit, at this stage in the disaster, is as you say, meaningless. Why wasn't this guy visibly and MEANINGFULLY involved from the get-go? He's an insensitive frat boy, hell, he wouldn't know what to do with a real emotion.

20. Whatever he does will NEVER be enough. |
|
Never enough to help them. Never enough to promise his empty promises. Never enough to say he wishes he had more NG there and would NOT have sent them if he knew what he knew now, then. Never enough to say he would NOT cut their funding for protection against this exact type of disaster, if he knew what he knew now, then.
We all know above all, he would NEVER apologize that his decisions effected their very lives so tragically.
Let him go... he will bury himself. Maybe not in the damn dirty and disease ridden waters, but nonetheless he will bury himself in the truth that so obviously escapes him. More people will see him who for who he truly is.
