NO, MS,AL Need to be rebuilt. NOT BY Halliburton!!! By locals!!! |
|
The shameful lack of resources and reactions to this crisis puts the lie to Homeland Security. When it comes to laying contracts for the rebuilding, they BETTER hire the locals who lost so much and PAY them a decent wage. I hope the governors of those three states who lost so much, understand that the future vitality of their regions lies in putting their citizens first. If the Biloxi casinos want to rise again, it will need to be on the blood sweat and tears of the locals. After all, that's where alot of the tax revenue came from. We need to help them INSIST on local labor!!!!! It helps everyone, not just the corporations who already loud and long are looking for a gov't handout!

1. Well, Houston is *almost* local. |

And there will be fewer insurgents to waste money on. So figure that a trillion bucks oughta come close to getting the job done.

3. Yep and all the oil wells that need repair |
|
You know damn well who will get no bid contracts on those. The national government has stepped in and are in the process of neutering the local and state government. Until every penny is squeezed out of NO, the federal government won't relinquish their chokehold. Something tells me that by the time this is all over, the south will NOT be Bush country anymore.
