Okay, this Natalee Holloway thing has passed the point of PATHOLOGICAL. |
I'm at the gym tonight and one of the TV's is on CNN. I look up and see the theme of Nancy Grace's show: ARUBA: DAY 92
I swear to Christ, I think I had a mild aneurysm when I saw that. They are painting BLACK FUCKING X's ON HOUSES TO MARK WHERE THE DEAD PEOPLE ARE in New Orleans and Mississippi, and our media is still focused on a girl who has been missing for three months.
Look, Natalee's disappearance is tragic. It's a very sad story. But I NEVER remember a single missing person consuming national headlines for three months.

is absolutely obscene.

3. are you sure it was CNN ? |
while CNN has been far too obsessed with the story, i think their focus has been on the Hurricane since yesterday.

6. How is your post going to help bring Natalee home? |
Please keep on topic. Posts like this only distract national attention from Natalee's case, and aren't helpful to keeping the media's attention where it belongs - in Aruba.

10. Like our corrupted government? |
Like Karl Rove, Tom Delay, the firing of whistle blower Bunnatine Greenhouse for shining a light on the dark doings of Haliburton with our treasury's money?

8. If Nancy Grace has to cover crime stories due to the nature of her show |
why didn't she focus her entire show today on the hearing on the Abu Ghraib photos, along with interviews of the respective attorneys involved? I haven't seen them interviewed anywhere on TV. Nancy Grace seems to like to discuss legal issues on her show. There's a great set of legal issues into which she could sink her teeth. It would go a long way with me in restoring some small semblance of humanity in that woman in my eyes, but I guess I might be expecting the impossible.

9. Even so, have there been NO OTHER CRIMES in the last three months? |
Besides, CNN should be pre-empting this crap anyway.
