Does something seem a bit obvious or staged about Bush's indifference?
To me it seems obvious the press is trying to make Bush look as bad as possible especially with the photo ops. And it's not that difficult to do.

However, it does seem as though he is being told where to go and what to do. It has seemed to me George Bush has almost always been following orders from someone.

Meanwhile, where is Dick Cheney?

He doesnt seem too worried about New Orleans, and we wouldnt know because he hasn't come out from his bunker.

No word from the Vice president, his wife Lynn and more interestingly, no criticism and/or even attention towards him.

Its all very persistently and negatively focused on George Bush, which is understandable and yet where's Cheney?

With George Bush, its as if he's being dictated to do what he is doing. In other words, the guitar deal to me looks like 'here George, play the guitar so we can get some photos". Its all looks staged.

Why?

I wonder if he is more intentionally now being set up to look this way to Americans?

Is it just me? I guess my honest conclusion is I am now looking for what the media is not showing me. I could care less what it is trying to shove in my face. I believe that's what they want me to look at, versus what we should be looking at.

I think most of us seem to agree that Cheney, is probably the one who is actually running the show. So why no mention of the quiet facilitator (nice way to put it I know)and all the harshest most obvious spotlight on Bush. Seems a bit um, eery, to me.

Something seem a bit strange here?

4. Is Bush missing some part of a normal adult personality
Read:

    1) "Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the President" by Justin A. Frank

    2) "The Raising of a President: The Mothers and Fathers of Our Nation's Leaders" by Doug Wead

Do you think this "Compassionate, Conservative, Man of Faith" (i.e., dry drunk) has the mental where with all to handle Katrina? I don't.

15. No I think his/her point is that Bush actually doesn't care that much.
About what has happened in the Gulf Coast and New Orleans.

10. Maybe New Orleans is Cheney's second Iraq....I think Cheney, I see
money, greed, oil and death. He cares NOTHING about human life. Look at Iraq. What's New Orleans to him? Not human life. NOLA is control of the ports and control of 25% of the US production of oil.

14. Yes, I think Americans need to learn more about HAARP.
So many things are so "coincidental", they are no longer "coincidental".

12. Well, he is staying right on character.....the AWOL pResidency.
I think a lot about this man is pure myth. He can't do press conferences, he stays out of the public eye. We get fed supposed glimpses into the WH and are told of his decisive leadership, rough language, yadayada...but I suspect thats a lot of BS too. He is window dressing for someone else calling the shots...Daddy? Cheney? a committee? Who really knows. I only know that this man has nothing in his life history that prepared him to be pResident. He wasn't elected, but the the machine that wanted him in place (perfect personality for this - ask no questions, don't rock any boats, do as we tell you, and you can play President) probably wants to keep us focused on hating him. Maybe he was told to act stupid today, act non-chalent. Focus the public ire on himself, distracting us from the reality that the feds don't have the wherewithal to deal with the disaster.
